It was summer of 2003 when Tomas Leon and his wife, Lilia Ferral, originally fromVeracruz, state of the Voladores of Papantla, Mexico (flyers of Papantla), started a small business from their home in the small town of Magnolia in Duplin County, NC selling tacos.

They became famous for their steak tacos & delicious burgers and in 2006, Mr. Leon had the opportunity to open a taco stand.With more than 10 years in business they have gained customers from all surrounding areas.

The business was named Taqueria Mi Lupita after our Lady of Guadalupe a symbol of their Mexican heritage. Mr. Leon's favorite quote is"Thanks to God and our Lady of Guadalupe we are where we stand today".
